Kearsley Street was the place to be, Sept. 2, as students explored the many ways to get involved at UM-Flint during the annual MGagement Fair. Student organizations and campus departments lined the street, giving students a chance to discover new interests, make connections and find their place in the campus community. A live DJ, games, caricatures, giveaways and plenty of snacks added to an afternoon built around one simple idea: There’s more to college than what happens in the classroom.

Your people are out there. Sometimes, you just have to find them. 💙💛

MGagement Fair brought Wolverines together to meet new faces, discover campus organizations, connect with resources and make memories along the way.

Here’s to the connections that make campus feel more like home. ✨

From scaling the rock wall and tackling yard games to breaking a sweat in group fitness or jumping into drop-in sports, UM-Flint students had plenty of ways to get moving during R’extravaganza, Aug. 27. The Rec Center’s annual fall kickoff gave Wolverines a chance to have some fun while exploring recreation opportunities available throughout the year, including club and intramural sports, esports and group fitness. And yes, there were free T-shirts, because some college traditions are sacred.

Our Rec Center understood the assignment: MOVE. PLAY. HAVE FUN. 🔥

R'extravaganza brought UM-Flint students together for rock climbing, games, sports, fitness and plenty of Wolverine energy. 🧗🏀🎮💪

And this is just the beginning. 👀

There’s a whole world of recreation waiting for you at UM-Flint. 💙〽️

Who gets to tell the story of our campus? At UM-Flint, students are stepping behind the byline. 💛💙

Since returning last academic year, The Michigan Times has given student journalists a new platform to cover the issues, people and stories shaping both campus and the Flint community. Along the way, they're gaining hands-on experience, putting classroom skills to work and helping their peers stay informed and engaged.

And the next edition is already taking shape, with another print issue, a new newsletter and a resource for incoming Wolverines on the horizon.

What does it take to bring a student newspaper back to life, and where does it go from here? Read the story: https://go.umflint.edu/mfwmv
