Florence-Darlington Technical College Educational Foundation The FDTC Educational Foundation supports student scholarships, special programs, and other activities that promote the College's mission and goals.

Formed in 1979, the Foundation is a 501C3 which supports the College and its students. The mission of the Florence-Darlington Technical College Educational Foundation is to support the College in all its efforts to provide comprehensive technical education, workforce development, and educational services to students, business & industry and the market it serves. In keeping with the goal, the Found

ation will aid the College in achieving its mission of playing a major role in the economic development and quality of life of its constituents. This aid is rendered by raising funds from private sources (individuals, businesses, corporations and foundations) to provide scholarships and other support services needed by our students and is used solely for the benefit of FDTC and its programs. The Foundation will also serve as a point of communication to the alumni of FDTC.

McLeod Health has graciously donated $75,000 to the Florence-Darlington Technical College Nursing program. We're so glad to have amazing educational partners who invest in the quality of our community.

“McLeod has been an exceptional partner to Florence-Darlington Technical College, and their continued investment in our Nursing program demonstrates a strong commitment to developing the next generation of healthcare professionals,” FDTC Interim President Dr. Debbie Cheek said. “Thanks to initiatives like this, our students will have greater opportunities to succeed both in the classroom and throughout their careers.”

Due to ongoing HVAC issues affecting the 100 & 5000 Building’s on the Main Campus, the college will close these buildings at 3 p.m. today. All labs scheduled in the 5000 Building this afternoon have been canceled.

This closure impacts the Business Office, Admissions Office, Registrar’s Office, Financial Aid Office, among others in these buildings.

Unless otherwise notified, all classes affected by this closure should report to class as regularly scheduled on Tuesday, June 9.

Congratulations to Tiffany McMillan for winning the FDTC Arabella Rogers Memorial Scholarship. Arabella Rogers lived in Hartsville from 1920 until her death in 1992. She was very active in the community and helped establish the first library. The scholarship was established to honor her memory and award a student in Hartsville who shows dedication and involvement at school.The recipient is chosen by counselors at Hartsville High School.The FDTC Edcuational Foundation is honored to continue Mrs. Rogers memory with this scholarship.
