📚 September is Literacy Month! 📚

Over the years, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Xi Sigma Zeta Chapter has worked with local businesses, community organizations, and area schools to help place books in the hands of school-aged children. Each back-to-school season, we have helped distribute books to students in the Forrest City School District and Lee County School District, and our commitment to literacy continues throughout the year. Families may also visit the St. Francis County CARE Center to select books for children and adults from our new reading bookshelf. Books currently available have been donated through MaxMo’s Event Hall and a community nonprofit partner.
We believe access to books helps encourage a love of reading, strengthens learning, and supports our founding principle of Scholarship. 💙🤍 Read. Learn. Grow.

As we begin a new sorority year, Xi Sigma Zeta Chapter is proud to continue a tradition of leadership, service, sisterhood, and community impact throughout Forrest City, Marianna, and the surrounding areas.
Our chapter believes leadership is demonstrated through action. Whether we are supporting our schools, serving families, partnering with community organizations, encouraging our youth, or responding to needs within our communities, we remain committed to showing up and doing the work.
This year, we look forward to building on what we have already accomplished, creating new opportunities to serve, strengthening partnerships, developing leaders, and continuing to represent Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated with excellence.
Our communities can expect to see Xi Sigma Zeta present, engaged, and working with purpose.

As we begin this new sorority year, let’s continue to carry our light, our legacy, and our love forward together. This year, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated encourages a focus on service, growth and excellence. After a summer filled with retreats and leadership workshops, it’s time to raise the bar, deepen our impact, and continue to honor the legacy of our Founders by doing the work with purpose and Zeta pride.

On this day, we give honor and celebrate the birth of our triumphant founder, Viola Tyler Goings, as we continue to expand our footprint worldwide as a leading community-conscious, action-oriented organization affecting change.

It is because of the trailblazing forethought and determined ex*****on of an idea by five Howard University co-ed’s that Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, stands as one of the world’s most respected national panhellenic sororities today!

Help us wish our illustrious sister a heavenly “Happy Birthday”!

Today, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated celebrates Women’s Equality Day with purpose, power, and pride.
As Finer Women, we know equality is not a quiet request. It is a call to lead boldly, serve fiercely, and keep pressing forward until every woman has the freedom, access, and opportunity she deserves.
So today, dress your crown. Wear your power. Strut in your essence. Stand in the legacy of the women who opened to doors, and keep building new ones for those coming behind us.
Because when women rise, communities shift. When women lead, history moves. 💙

Our own Soror Angela Wilburn, a member of the Rotary Club of Forrest City, helped organize community volunteers to welcome FCSD students back for their first day of school! 📚✨
Of course, the Blue & White Family showed up! The President of Iota Tau Sigma joined in, along with a member of our local PHA Order of the Eastern Star.

Xi Sigma Zeta & Iota Tau Sigma at it AGAIN! 💙🤍
Day 3—and the Blue & White Family was there from start to finish! What began with the vision of our Soror, Dr. Udoh, FCSD Family Engagement Coordinator, became three days of bringing families, schools, and community together to get our children excited and ready for a new school year. Today was Fresh Start: Hair Services, and everybody brought their special skills! Our Sigma Brother put his clippers to work, while our Sorors helped with detangling and hair prep, allowing the stylists and braiders to keep those chairs moving. And of course, we jumped in to help provide & serve lunch and wherever else we were needed.
We started together, served together, and finished together, supporting FCSD and the vision of our Soror every step of the way. 💙🤍
Three days. Three events. One community showing our children that we are behind them!
Here’s to a GREAT school year! 📚✨🙏
