Austen McCue graduates this weekend with a B.S in livestock business management – part of the first cohort of LBM students to graduate from the program. As a fourth-generation cow-calf producer from Colorado’s Eastern Plains, Austen joined the program to gain a greater understanding of the beef industry.
Austen received the 2026 Charles N. Shepardson Student Leadership Award for his work connecting students to the livestock industry and community-building through his roles with FFA, AFA, CSU AgNext, Collegiate Farm Bureau, and the CAS Student Success Team. He also co-founded the Livestock Leaders Association, which provides students with opportunities for engagement, professional development, and industry connections.
What’s next for Austen? The world is his oyster – he's still finalizing his plans for an industry position. But whatever he does, we know he’ll go far!
Congratulations to Austen and to all our graduating AgRams - we can’t wait to see all of the places you’ll go!
