Join us at for the next Leave it to the Beavers monthly speaker series on May 12, 6-8pm, with Scott Shahverdian, Design Geomorphologist, Riverscape Science and Stewardship, LLC.
Beaver are a critical driver of ecological health in many riverscapes in the Western United States. Stream restoration that mimics and promotes beaver dam building is increasingly being promoted to address the impacts of climate change, mitigate wildfire and post-wildfire impacts, restore and protect fisheries, and improve productivity on working lands.
In this presentation, Scott will discuss how to plan, design, and implement stream restoration projects that mimic and promote natural beaver dam building.
