Meet the 2026 50 Year Club Award recipients!

This year, we’re proud to honor Howard Taylor (B.S., ’76; M.Ed., ’78) with the Career Achievement Award and Linda F. Lehman (B.S., ’75) with the Public Service Award.

Howard Taylor has built a four-decade career in collegiate recreation and wellness, becoming a nationally respected leader who has helped shape student leaders and foster community, wellness and belonging.

Linda F. Lehman has dedicated her career to improving health and quality of life for people affected by Hansen’s disease around the world, helping transform rehabilitation and community-based care across multiple continents.

Join us in celebrating Howard and Linda at the 2026 50 Year Club Awards Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 2, at the Hilton Fort Collins during Homecoming & Family Weekend.

We’ll also induct the Class of 1976 into the 50 Year Club and celebrate generations of Rams!

On August 8, the CSU Alumni Association brought Rams together nationwide for the first-ever Welcome to the City, an event designed to connect recent graduates with local Ram Networks and alumni in their new communities.

With events held in 11 cities across the country, more than 116 Rams came together to build personal and professional connections, discover ways to stay involved with CSU, and strengthen their connection to the Ram community.

From brewery meetups and a museum walking tour to a picnic in the park, Welcome to the City showed recent grads that no matter where they call home, there’s a Ram community ready to welcome them.

Thank you to all the alumni who came out to welcome the newest generation of Rams, and recent grads, welcome to the Alumni family! πŸ’šπŸ’›

🎳 From rolling strikes for the Rams to competing around the world - John Weltzien (B.A., ’76) helped lead Colorado State to the first collegiate team national bowling championship before embarking on a decades-long career in the sport β€” earning his PBA card, competing internationally and eventually landing in multiple bowling halls of fame.

More than 50 years later, he’s still rolling β€” and still repping CSU every Monday night at his local bowling league.πŸπŸ’š
