With matriculation approaching for our August pups, we are excited to celebrate their accomplishments and look forward to their future. Please enjoy some words about puppy Sakura, written by her raisers.
Raising Sakura for the past year has been one of the biggest blessings: she has taught us how to be patient, how to adapt to change, and how to live everyday like a new adventure. She has greeted every morning, every person, every dog, and every interaction with her tail wagging, and has taught us that joy can be found in the smallest moments.
We are so proud of the dog she has become and we are so grateful for the time we had together. Her goofy personality, enthusiasm and ability to make us laugh even on difficult days made every day with her unforgettable. She is one of the happiest dogs we have ever met without question. She is impossible not to love, and we feel incredibly lucky to have been part of her journey. Sakura has a way of making everyone she meets feel special, and we know she will continue to spread that same joy wherever her journey takes her next.
To her puppy starters Mary and Susan, and all the puppy raisers, sitters, club members, and Canine Companions staff and volunteers who have helped Saki along her way, we have so much gratitude for the love and support you’ve given her. We truly cannot thank you enough, and we are incredibly grateful that your impact will continue through her. For all those who will know and love her in the future, take good care of her for us. She’s worth it.
To our sweet Saki:
You have been such a joy to raise, and we can’t imagine a world without you by our side. Your sweet, smiling face, little white sock, and worried eyebrows are unmatched, and we are going to miss them more than words can say. You've already made our lives better just by being you, but your purpose in this life is so much greater than the joy you have provided us. Even though it is hard to let you go, we know you are off to do something greater. (Continued in comments)
