Earlier this year, a senior design team worked with the Rapid Prototyping Lab to develop mushroom substrate pasteurization technology. The work was part of larger efforts with researchers in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition to create year-round mushroom growth in food-insecure areas.

Now, the project is in the next phase of development, with testing the system on substrate and sending the samples to a lab for analysis.

Thank you Corri Yanase for giving our community a behind-the-scenes look at Idaho National Laboratory (INL). Corri is a University Recruiter at INL. At last week's Speaker Series, she shared a brief history of INL, an overview of the research taking place on the campus, and information about internship opportunities for CSU students. We appreciate Corri sharing insights into the hiring process, internship eligibility requirements, and career paths at INL.

Have questions? Make sure to stop by the INL booth at the Colorado State University Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering Career Fair on October 8th.
