The purpose of this page is to disseminate information on upcoming chapter events and initiatives. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated was founded in 1913 by 22 visionary students at Howard University. These young women wanted to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence; to provide scholarships; to provide support to the underserved; educate and stimulate participation in t
he establishment of positive public policy; and to highlight issues and provide solutions for problems in their communities. Today, our beloved sorority continues its work as a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Our sisterhood has initiated 300,000+ predominately Black college educated women, with over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Republic of Korea. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization's Five Point Programmatic Thrust:

- International Awareness and Involvement
- Physical and Mental Health
- Political Awareness and Involvement
The Midwest Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is an eight state geographic area that encompasses Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, West Virginia and Wisconsin. Currently, there are 134 alumnae and undergraduate chapters in the Midwest with an active membership that exceeds 6000. The Fort Knox Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Since that time, the members have worked diligently to serve the Fort Knox community with innovative programs and projects. Each year the chapter implements a full program agenda that encompasses each aspect of the Sorority’s five point programmatic thrust.
