Hawks in the News: Danielle Priest named interim volleyball coach for Hillsborough College's upcoming season, via 10 Tampa Bay.

"Hillsborough College has promoted longtime assistant Danielle Priest to head coach of its volleyball program, continuing a connection with the Hawks that spans nearly two decades.

According to HC, Danielle was an HC volleyball student-athlete from 2008 to 2010, helping establish the program's tradition of success. She later returned as an assistant coach from 2014 to 2015 and again from 2019 through the present, contributing to the development of student-athletes both on and off the court.

In announcing the hire, HC praised Danielle's commitment to the program and its players, calling her a deserving choice to lead the Hawks into the 2026 season."

🏐 A New Chapter Begins! 🏐

Congratulations to Danielle Priest on being named the 2026 Interim Head Volleyball Coach at Hillsborough College!

Coach Danielle's journey with the Hawks has come full circle. As a Hillsborough College volleyball student-athlete from 2008–2010, she helped build the program's tradition of excellence. She later returned to give back as an assistant coach from 2014–2015, and again from 2019 through the present, playing a key role in the development of countless student-athletes both on and off the court.

Her passion for Hillsborough College, dedication to the game, and commitment to serving her players have made a lasting impact on the program. There is no one more deserving of this opportunity, and we are excited to see her lead the Hawks into the 2026 season.

Hawks in the News: The Hillsborough College Hawks are good at collecting titles, via Spectrum Bay News 9.

"The Hillsborough College Hawks have cracked the code.

This tennis team has figured out how to dominate at the national level. And they’ve done it by bonding as a team, something that is not common in a sport that is very individualized.

'They’ve always put the team first over individual success,' head coach Sarah Lytle said. 'And I think that’s what made this team really special.'

That selfless approach helped the Hawks bring home another national championship, their second straight. It’s their fourth overall championship. And a lot of the credit goes to a strong sophomore class."
