This month, the beautiful ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Sigma Omicron Omega Chapter traveled to Orlando to attend the 73rd South Atlantic Regional Conference (SARC). What an incredible time was had! We truly stood on the business of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Reports were delivered, resolutions were made, achievements were celebrated, and we proudly elected our newest South Atlantic Regional Director!
Lastly, but surely not least, some partied like it was 1999, at the 73rd SARC closing Gala.

As delegates, we exercised our right and our freedom to vote, contributing to the future leadership of our region. Many of us also had the honor of attending Madam Regional Director’s “Drop the Mic” Dinner, celebrating her phenomenal four years of TUNED IN leadership. 🩷💚🥰
Additionally, we celebrated our newest Silver Stars, Ms. Tamika McKinney and Ms. Juanita Riley celebrating 25 years of service. We were blessed to celebrate Good Friday in prayer, attending a powerful prayer breakfast featuring Kierra Sheard-Clark. The worship was truly moving and filled the room with God’s presence—reminding us that even in fellowship, we continue to stand on the business of AKA.
These accomplishments are not by chance—they are the result of intentional effort.
We have reflected. We have served. We have advocated. And we have left a legacy in our community.
To our valued community partners—thank you. Your continued support makes our impact possible.
