A new chapter for music at Purdue Fort Wayne has officially begun. 🎶

Today, university and community members came together to celebrate the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of the Surack-Sweetwater Music Industry Center.

The new 26,000-square-foot facility provides expanded space and state-of-the-art resources for students studying popular music, music industry, and music technology, including recording studios, editing suites, rehearsal spaces, and an audio lab.

We’re excited to see what our students create here and the impact this new space will have on music education at Purdue Fort Wayne and throughout our community. ✨

What. A. Week! 🎉🖤💛

Our Welcome Week was packed with fun festivities, furry friends, and plenty of Mastodon spirit as we welcomed students back to campus. From Campus Kickoff and visiting therapy dogs to RecFest, and Slip 'n Slide into the New Year, there was something for everyone. Don even threw out the first pitch at the TinCaps game! ⚾

Here's to a fun, successful, and memorable semester ahead. Go 'Dons!
