Texas A&M Law strives to advance access to justice across Texas - through a workforce committed to serve…

Dean Bobby Ahdieh testified before the Texas legislature on ways the State can collaborate with law schools to advance rural workforce development in the criminal justice field.

Through scholarships, externships, and classes and programs at our Fort Worth campus and online, Texas A&M Law is increasing access to legal information, legal education, and legal support for Texans everywhere.

Fort Worth’s population has come a long way since 1900, when residents bristled at being undercounted at just 26,000. With the city's recent breakthrough into the ranks of America’s 10 largest cities — now topping 1 million residents — we also rank among the nation’s fastest-growing urban centers.

As Fort Worth continues to grow alongside the broader North Texas region, Texas A&M maintains a strong presence in the area, supporting students, alumni, and the legal community across the region.

"My education has already helped shape my career because I am able to apply what I am learning directly to the work I do every day, building on my existing knowledge while broadening my perspective and understanding."- Jessica Hake

Texas A&M Law can support careers beyond practicing law. Jessica Hake is an MLS student who was inspired to pursue her degree after stepping into a privacy officer role at Conway Regional Healthcare System. Her concentration in health law and policy aligned closely with Hake’s career goals. Her long-term goal is to become the compliance officer for her healthcare system while continuing to advance professionally through education and experience, wherever that path may lead.

Her advice to prospective students: Be intentional about planning and organizing your schoolwork. Prioritize assignments around your schedule to stay on track and avoid falling behind. Logging in daily and keeping up with assignments and discussion posts can make a big difference.📚

Pursuing purpose, passion, and impact🤝

MLS student Angelique Francois is charting a powerful path with dual certification in Health Law and Cybersecurity. Drawn by the school's mission and reputation, she's found a program that's both hands-on and deeply supportive, led by professors who bring real-world experience into every lesson.

Beyond the classroom, Francois' commitment to service shines through international advocacy work as a beauty pageant ambassador for Haiti, paired with five years of experience in the medical field. Now, law is the next step toward creating meaningful change and building a lasting legacy.

Her message to future students: You’re already halfway there! This University offers more than a degree. From professors and staff to the way you’re supported, everyone is hands-on, connected, and nobody gets left behind. Your future matters here.✨
