The milestone marks the completion of the program’s regulatory and accreditation process, following prior approvals from the UNT System Board of Regents and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

UNT Health Fort Worth has received final approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to offer a new Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree program, officially adding the degree to the institution’s academic offerings.

This week we recognized Medication Safety Week (April 1-7). Pharmacists play a critical role in keeping patients safe every day by reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, preventing harmful interactions, providing counseling, and helping patients understand how to take their medications safely and effectively. Thank you to our pharmacists for protecting patient health, one prescription at a time! 🫶
