Under the shadow of the August 12 total solar eclipse, TCU’s purple pride lit up the Spanish sky. At Castillo de Cedrillas, Professor Peter Frinchaboy shared the once-in-a-lifetime view with recent doctoral graduate Dr. Natalie Myers ’25 and distinguished alumnus Dr. Drew Chojnowski ’11.

Their eclipse expedition coincided with “APOGEE’s Galactic Odyssey,” a conference celebrating the SDSS survey that Horned Frogs have helped advance since 2010.

From pioneering discoveries to a front-row view of the cosmos, TCU continues to reach beyond the horizon, connecting generations of Horned Frogs through a shared passion for exploring the universe.
