Artificial intelligence is changing how businesses operate, and TCU Neeley students are learning from faculty who are helping shape the conversation.

In a recent Fort Worth Star-Telegram op-ed, Associate Professor Ken Corbit examines how companies like Starbucks and Chipotle are using AI not to replace employees, but to improve workflows, reduce friction and strengthen customer experiences.

His perspective reflects a growing business reality that the most effective AI strategies support human judgment, service and connection while helping organizations operate more effectively.

Read more from Dr. Corbit's analysis on one of today's fastest-moving business topics.

Developing and presenting a research-based energy solution to an international government regulator is quite the resume builder. 🇧🇷

As the culmination of a semester-long research project, TCU Ralph Lowe Energy Institute students traveled to Brazil to present a strategic carbon capture and hydrogen energy roadmap directly to Brazil's oil and gas regulator—ANP.

While abroad in the energy capital of Rio de Janeiro, the team engaged with global energy leaders including Petrobras, TotalEnergies and Stratum Reservoir.

They stepped into exclusive research environments to explore local geology, complex regulatory networks, reservoir technology and the future of international energy innovation.

This immersive experience allowed TCU Neeley students to deliver real-world global consulting impact while experiencing the vibrant culture of Rio firsthand.

Reflecting on the experience, Nikki Morris, executive director of the TCU Ralph Lowe Energy Institute, said, "Experiences like this reinforce the importance of industry, academia and government working together to develop the next generation of energy leaders and practical solutions for the future of global energy."

Kudos to this incredible student team on a phenomenal, high-impact global experience! 💼✨

For Anslee Tatum ’26, the world is a classroom. 🌎

Through the TCU Neeley Fellows program, Anslee’s undergraduate experience spanned from the tech hubs of Austin and the financial district of New York to the cultural landscapes of Peru.

She says each trip offered a unique perspective, teaching her different lessons personally and professionally while preparing her to compete at the highest levels of finance.

According to Anslee, the mentorship of leaders like Meg Lehman, Neeley Fellows program director, provided the foundation for her cohort’s success. She credits the tight-knit community and the people who invested in the program with making her TCU journey special.

“The Neeley Fellows program has been very impactful through both its sense of community and the professional development opportunities it provides,” she said. “I am super grateful for the people who make this community so special.”

Anslee is New York City bound to begin her career as an investment banking analyst at Piper Sandler. 🗽

She will receive her bachelor of business administration in finance today from Texas Christian University.

Congratulations to Anslee and the entire Class of 2026!

Brian Shresta ’26 credits the Neeley Ready event for opening the door to the TCU Neeley Professional Development Center and the world of networking.

These initial connections led him to his mentor, Noe Guevara, through the JPMorgan Chase Inclusive Excellence Mentoring Program and sparked relationships with a wide range of faculty across the college.

For Brian, the journey came full circle as he transitioned from participating in mock interviews to serving as a PDC coach. This evolution from student to mentor allowed him to sharpen his leadership skills while helping his peers prepare for their own careers.

“The PDC has helped me not only grow professionally, but succeed in multiple facets throughout my college years that I am ready to take on into my career.”
—Brian Shresta ’26

Brian will graduate this spring with a BBA in business information systems before joining as a package consultant in Austin.

Congratulations to Brian and the entire Class of 2026! 🎓🟣
