Long before earning his white coat, Thomas Redman, M.D. '24, discovered that the heavy mental and physical strains of medical training requires a village. In this clip, Dr. Redman reflects on the deep, life-changing support he received from Burnett School of Medicine faculty, staff, and classmates when he needed it most.

Rigid clinical jargon doesn't build trust—conversations do. NBC DFW co-anchor Bianca Castro NBC5 recently visited our campus to give expert media training to our Burnett Brand Ambassadors. Her advice to more than 60 future physicians in attendance? Stop trying to sound perfect and explain complex medicine as if you were simply "talking to a friend".

Now in its seventh year, this award-winning Brand Ambassador program prepares our Empathetic Scholars® to represent our innovative curriculum across national media interviews, marketing campaigns, and community advocacy. The State of Texas is investing heavily in Fort Worth’s collaborative model for maternal health.

My Health My Resources of Tarrant County has secured a $4.08 million grant from Texas Health and Human Services to expand postpartum interventions through the North Texas Maternal Health Accelerator (MHA), led by Burnett School of Medicine at TCU and UT Southwestern Medical Center. This initiative aims to reduce severe obstetric complications and improve outcomes across the region.

When Fort Worth mom Bessie Bronstein was discharged after an emergency C-section, her baby stayed behind in intensive care. She was completely isolated, healing from major surgery, and fighting severe postpartum exhaustion in an empty room.

Meet Tatum Hall, MS1, who is breaking boundaries as the first TCU Showgirl alumna to enter the Burnett School of Medicine at TCU.

Even with the rigors of medical school curriculum, Tatum is still using some of her down time to dance. She guides the team as a TCU Showgirls Gameday Coach. Healthy communities start with balanced, passionate leaders, and Tatum is helping set that standard for our future physicians.
