A story of compassion, service and remembrance. ๐Ÿ’œ

On Sept. 4, experience Stations of Mychal at TCU โ€” a moving song cycle about Father Mychal Judge, a New York City Fire Department chaplain who died while ministering to first responders on Sept. 11, 2001.

The 75-minute work weaves together music, theatrical storytelling and video projections to honor one extraordinary life within an event remembered for its enormous scale.

Published by TCU Press, "The Art of Jim Woodson: Landscape, Imagination, and the Poetics of Place" traces five decades of artistic exploration โ€” from the landscapes of Texas and New Mexico to the power of memory, emotion and imagination. What started as a retirement celebration has become something extraordinary. The Curt Wilson Alumni Big Band reunites every few years to perform across Europe โ€” and this summer, three current TCU students joined them for the first time. From Fort Worth to Amsterdam, the legacy of TCU Jazz lives on.
