As a senior Biochemistry major, Meah Lewis has made the most of her Texas Wesleyan experience through academic research and a strong commitment to her future goals. Her connection to the university comes from her uncle, Jerrod Burton, who graduated in 2023. For the past two years, she has worked alongside Dr. Ngo as an undergraduate researcher and will present her research on Cushing’s Syndrome at the American Chemical Society Conference. As a junior Psychology major, Julissa Ruiz has a deep family connection to Texas Wesleyan. Her mother, Jessica, graduated in 2018, and those early visits to campus left a lasting impression. It is with great sadness that we inform you Coach Bobby Cornett, a 1972 Texas Wesleyan graduate and beloved member of our campus community, passed away on August 14, 2026, at age 75, following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
