Proudly located in beautiful Erma Lowe Hall, The School for Classical & Contemporary Dance at TCU believes that dance education begins in the studio with equal emphasis on classical and contemporary dance training. Technical training supported by scholarly inquiry and the ability to make informed artistic choices prepare students to explore the language of dance as both creators and performers. At

Prof. Chad R. Jung recently joined Wolf Trap Opera & the Washington National Opera Orchestra as the Lighting Designer for Tosca at the Filene Center in Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts! In this new production, Tosca is a 1970s Italian movie star in Rome supported by a cinematic production design inspired by the influential Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini. 🎭🇮🇹🎥

Along with her TCU ballet faculty colleagues, Dr. Jessica Zeller attended the CORPS de Ballet International conference hosted by the University of California, Irvine. During this expansive three-day event, she presented her research, “Stories Ballet Teachers Tell: bell hooks’s 'Confessional Narratives' as Liberatory Pedagogical Praxis in the Ballet Class,” which examined the use of storytelling as a means of community-building in ballet classes. 👏💜😎
