First day trip...plant ID at Mr. Merrill's homestead!

The City of FW has purchased the property and surrounding areas for future park development; the property is currently managed for wildlife w/prescribed fire. After plant ID and collection, students came back to the classroom and started putting together and branding their plant presses, and had a break for floats (thank you, Ranee Knox)!

Orientation was held Thur, Aug 20 and Fri, Aug 21 for RM students - guidelines to review, forms to sign, classmates to meet, and a campus to explore (students had a scavenger hunt around campus).

Alumni mentors were here in the morning to meet students and participate in a Clifton Strengths session sponsored by Merck Animal Health, who also graciously provided lunch Thur.

Thank you AgTexas Farm Credit Services, AgTrust Farm Credit, Merck Animal Health, and Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association for welcome back swag for the students!
