SCAM ALERT – PLEASE READ & SHARE

The Frankston Police Department is receiving numerous reports of scammers calling residents and pretending to be Deputies with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. These individuals claim you have missed jury duty, that a warrant has been issued, and that you must pay a fee immediately to avoid being arrested.

They sound polished. They use real names. They spoof phone numbers. They apply pressure.

If you receive one of these calls:
• Hang up immediately
• Do NOT give personal information
• Do NOT send money

Help spread the word so no one falls victim to these scams. Stay alert and stay informed.

Countywide burn ban was extended yesterday in Commissioner's Court. The order is for 90 days.
