🌾Summer Throwback
Chani and Professor Sean Sharp surveyed the distribution of wild rice (Zizania aquatica) in the Potomac and Patuxent rivers as it relates to salinity gradients in those rivers.
Chani used a quadcopter drone to capture aerial images and map rice stands, while documenting plant species turnover along the river corridor.
⁉️What’s next? This fall, Chani will earn her Drone Piloting License as the capstone of her SRI experience! 💫
