Time is running out to secure your spot in the inaugural Fairways for the Future – FCC Athletics Golf Tournament on Friday, September 4 at Maryland National Golf Club.

Join FCC Athletics for a great day of golf in support of FCC student-athlete scholarships. Your registration includes breakfast, lunch, practice facility access, 18 holes of golf with a cart, golfer gifts, and post-tournament awards and raffles.

men’s soccer battled back twice in their season opener, earning a draw against the CSM Hawks on Tuesday afternoon.
Fredy Hernandez opened the FCC scoring in the 14th minute off an assist from Derek Schaerdel, leveling the match at 1-1. Cesar Aguilar gave the Cougars a 2-1 advantage in the second half with a goal in the 64th minute before Southern Maryland found a late equalizer.
FCC controlled much of the play, outshooting CSM 15-9 and holding an 8-7 edge in shots on goal.

Next contest: Thursday, August 27 at 4:30 PM as the Cougars host CCBC Catonsville.

The 2026 season got underway on Tuesday afternoon as the women’s soccer team battled the College of Southern Maryland in a defensive showdown at home. Despite three shots on goal from Maebree Knight, Maddison Morales, and Adeola Adewunmi, the Cougars came up just short in a 1-0 contest.
Hannah Cook recorded three saves in goal, while the Cougar defense turned in a strong performance throughout the match.
Next contest: Thursday, August 27 at 2:00 PM as the Cougars host CCBC Catonsville.
