We have had a bustling year of growth and joy! As we reflect on 2025, we wanted to share some highlights!
⭐️Spring and Summer were spent in a season of growth and rest to prepare for the semester ahead. During this time, the Executive Board was hard at work behind the scenes, advocating for our organization and restructuring to ensure we started the next academic year as strong as possible.
⭐️September brought the excitement of a new season as we put those structural plans into motion, reuniting our musicians and welcoming new faces to the ensemble! We were delighted to meet so many of you at Activities Night and our First Rehearsal Pizza Party! This semester marked a milestone in our mission of giving back to our community through music. This semester was the first time we had community members join us in the SUNY Fredonia Pops Orchestra; from the Jamestown Area Community Orchestra, Inc to University at Buffalo, we loved having so many new people join us in our mission.
⭐️October was full of excitement as we hosted our large ensemble concert, “A Night At The Movies!” where we reached over 1,500 listeners in the hall and on the livestream! We were able to raise over $1,620 for the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation through our Pie The Conductor fundraiser and the generosity of our audience. It truly was a month of great music and philanthropy.
⭐️November brought new leadership, with many great conversations and excitement for the organization’s future! We auditioned in an entirely new and energetic Artistic team along with an ambitious new Executive team. This team has already worked tirelessly engaging in new ideas and plans for the organization’s future. We said a bittersweet farewell to our Music & Arts Director, Aidan Carney, our Assistant Conductor, Dan Raczka, and our Choir Director, Brody Brown. We will miss you all dearly and know that each of your futures are bright!
⭐️December was a month of incredible generosity and music. We celebrated our Inaugural Holiday Brass Concert, a new tradition that brought warmth to the season. We were so honored to hold this concert at the beautiful Fredonia Presbyterian Church, creating a new partnership we are excited to continue building.
We are thrilled to announce that $2,036.24 was raised this year alone to support the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation, a testament to the power of creating music in community.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year a resounding success. We are excited to continue this passion into the new year!
