On Friday we celebrated our amazing students with our Honored Student Reception. The Biology department awarded $47,920 in scholarships this spring. We will have 10 summer research students this year funded by The Holmberg Foundation. And we recognized our graduates who are moving on to professional schools and employment.
We also honored Julia Skiba, winner of the Lanford Presidential Prize and Sydney Hawkins winner of our inaugural Outstanding Senior Award. Congratulations to all our students!🎉

Sydney Hawkins a first-generation university student originally from Ripley, NY, was named the Honors Student of the Month for March.

A couple of photos taken for Sydney's Honors Student of the Month award, Sydney will be graduating in May and has been an exceptional student during her time at Fredonia. She has served on the Foundation board, been an RA in the dorms, a tutor at the Learning Center, and much more while doing excellent academic work and research in the labs of Dr. Wigdahl-Perry and Hrycik. She also did summer research at Harvard. Congratulations Sydney!!

The Pre-Health Professions Club had a suture clinic this week, the students enjoyed this and did nice work, for most it was the first time they had done this.
