ANNOUNCEMENT: Our 2019 SESA Symposium is a few weeks away! Attached to this post is the conference schedule. Thank you to everyone who submitted! We look forward to seeing you all present next month on Dec. 12-13.

We are also happy to announce that Dr. Melanie Hernandez will be delivering the keynote address on Friday, Dec. 13. More details about the keynote and panels will be revealed soon.

Also, if you would like some pointers on how to make your conference experience as good as it can be, we will be having a workshop with Dr. Foster! Attached is a flyer with more information.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]. A FB event will be created soon, so please be on the lookout for that! Even if you are not presenting, we want support for our students and faculty who are doing amazing work at Fresno State. Hope to see you there!

Hello all,

The Students of English Studies Association (SESA) is proud to announce the theme for our conference this year is "Boundaries Across Bodies!" We are accepting submissions from both graduate and undergraduate students. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Abstract deadline: November 8, 2019
Conference: December 12-13, 2019

Announcement: SESA will be holding a meeting this Friday, October 18th by the Starbucks in the Henry Madden Library at 4pm. We welcome undergraduates and graduates alike. You don't have to be an English major! Come by if you have questions about SESA and our conference this December. Also, keep an eye out for our upcoming flyer that has all the details. Soon to be posted online and on campus!

Congratulations! We at SESA are thrilled to hear this news. We know Dr. Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval will do amazing work!

This morning President Joseph I. Castro announced the appointment of Dr. Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval as Fresno State’s new provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, effective July 22, 2019.

Dr. Jiménez-Sandoval is a veteran academic administrator with extensive ties to the Central Valley. He joined the Fresno State faculty in 2000, most recently serving as the dean of the College of Arts and Humanities.
