From game day management to Associate Director of Development for the Bulldog Foundation—alumnus James Woolsey shows what’s possible with a Fresno State Sport Administration degree. 🐾

Now, the program is entering a new era as the first accelerated, 1-year Sport Administration Master’s program in the CSU system, helping students gain experience and launch their careers in just 3 semesters.

A special welcome to our incoming nursing cohort Summer 2028! 🩺 During Nursing Bootcamp, our future nurses had the opportunity to connect with their classmates, build community through games and team activities, learn essential nursing skills, and get an inside look at what it takes to successfully navigate nursing school.

Big news for nursing education across the Central Valley! 🩺💙 The Central California Center for Excellence in Nursing at Fresno State will lead a regional effort supported by a $186,300 grant to strengthen nursing faculty, improve clinical training and expand collaboration with healthcare partners. Together, we’re investing in the next generation of nurses. 🐾

Last week, we were excited to host the first anatomy lab training session for the Saint Agnes Emergency Medicine residency program! 🩺

Twenty residents and four instructors came together for hands-on training in critical emergency procedures related to emergencies involving severe head trauma, orbital compartment syndrome, airway obstruction, and penetrating chest trauma with cardiac tamponade.

This session marks the culmination of nearly two years of planning and collaboration between Fresno State and Saint Agnes. We’re proud to share resources to support healthcare education and strengthen connections across our community. We look forward to many more opportunities together! 🙌

We are proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Miguel Perez as associate dean for the College of Health and Human Services! 👏 🐾

For more than 25 years, Dr. Perez has been a dedicated member of the Fresno State community, serving in numerous leadership roles, including Department Chair, MPH Program Director, Internship Coordinator, and most recently as Interim Associate Dean.

Beyond our campus, Dr. Perez is an internationally respected scholar whose work has advanced health promotion, cultural competence, and global public health. 🌎

The Department of Kinesiology and the Central California Sports Science Institute at Fresno State welcomed high school students for Sports Science Camp! Through hands-on experiences in physical education, exercise science, athletic training, and sport psychology, campers explored exciting career paths while learning from experts. 🐾
