Fresno State has secured a $1.4 million federal grant to strengthen the Central Valley’s healthcare workforce and expand access to care through technology-based training and collaboration. 🩺 Led by the Center for Digital and Technological Innovation in Healthcare, this project will focus on chronic disease prevention and management, as well as mental health and substance use disorders.

We’re proud to celebrate the achievements of AFROTC Detachment 035! 🎉 This summer, 11 of our cadets successfully completed the rigorous 21-day Field Training program in Alabama and were competitively selected for Professional Officer Course (POC) enrollment allocations. Out of nearly 2,400 cadets nationwide, these 11 earned their place among those selected—marking a five-year high for Detachment 035! 🐾

As they transition into the Professional Officer Course, these cadets take on greater leadership within the detachment. They will mentor underclassmen, plan and execute training, and lead by example.

HHS 18A: Career Pathways in Health and Human Services students joined Fresno State’s Recreation Administration Department at the Save Mart Center for a behind-the-scenes look at Sports and Entertainment Facility Management! 🐾

Students explored:

Save Mart Center operations
Careers in sports, entertainment and facility management
Connections between large-scale events, health and human services
Fresno State degree, minor and certificate opportunities
Career paths they may not have considered before

Thank you to the Save Mart Center for welcoming our students and sharing your expertise. It was an engaging day of learning, career exploration and discovering where Recreation Administration can lead!
