The students on the campus are very diverse; international students feel they are part of the community shortly after arriving and they make friends with people from all over the world. Fresno State offers a comprehensive list of majors taught by excellent faculty who enjoy teaching and taking time to get to know their students. The campus is like a small city with many facilities on campus (bowling alley, bank, theatre, event center, library, health center, residence halls, post office, et cetera) in a beautiful park-like atmosphere. Fresno offers a quality of life unique to the rest of California. Fresno is affordable and within easy traveling distance to major urban areas and recreational areas, and the weather is almost perfect. People are friendly and willing to help a student in need. International students are supported by the International Office which provides a fast-paced orientation program where new students make friends; become comfortable on the campus; and meet American families, faculty and staff.
