The Department of Physics at Fresno State provides courses in physics, physical science, and astronomy, including introductory-level courses.

BS degree programs are available in Physics and Biomedical Physics and an MS degree program in Physics. Minors are available in Physics, Physical Science, Biomedical Physics, and Astronomy. Fresno State adjunct professor in the medical physics program, Dr. Georg Weidlich recently won the AAPM's Peter Almond award for his article " Determination of the beam quality correction factor kQmsr for the PTW Semiflex 3D ionization chamber for the
reference dosimetry at ZAP-X". Congratulations, Georg.

Two of our students, Christian RJ Castillo and Jonathan Andrade Antonio, were awarded prizes at the latest Central California Research Symposium. Both were mentored by Dr. Pei-Chun Ho.
