📚 Don’t forget to certify your class participation!

By September 21, 2026, all degree-seeking students must:

✅ Acknowledge the Fresno State Code of Academic Integrity
✅ Confirm participation in every class in My Fresno State

Added a new class? Be sure to return to the Class Participation Certification section and complete the process for that class, too.

We encourage you to complete this as soon as possible! Please contact our office if you have any questions. 🐾

🎓 Are you a student receiving Cal Grant and are supporting a child or dependent? You may qualify for up to $6,000 in additional Cal Grant funding! 💰

The Students with Dependent Children (SWD) Access Award provides eligible students with dependent children additional financial support on top of their base Cal Grant award.

✨ You may qualify if you:
👶 Have a child or legal dependent under age 18
🏠 Provide more than half of their financial support, including food, housing, or other needs
🎓 Receive a Cal Grant A or B

Eligible students can receive up to $6,000 through the SWD Access Award in addition to their base Cal Grant.

📝 How to apply:

1️⃣ Submit your FAFSA or CADAA
Complete a financial aid application each year and answer the dependent-support question accurately based on your circumstances.

2️⃣ Submit your GPA or qualifying test score
Make sure CSAC receives your high school GPA, college GPA, or qualifying test score.

3️⃣ Create a WebGrants 4 Students account
About a week after submitting your FAFSA or CADAA, create your account and complete the SWD Certification Form to certify that you have a child or dependent under 18 who receives more than half of their financial support from you.

💡 Don’t miss out on financial aid that could help support you and your family!

Were you enrolled in Summer 2026? If so, your Fall 2026 financial aid may be delayed by approximately one week.

Before Fall aid can be disbursed, we must confirm that students who attended during the summer are meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements. We can’t complete this review until Summer 2026 grades become official on August 18.

⏳ What this means: If you attended Summer 2026, please allow approximately one additional week for your Fall financial aid to be reviewed and disbursed.

We appreciate your patience while we complete these required SAP reviews! 💙

🎓 Middle Class Scholarship Update

If you have this hold on your account, it is because you may be eligible for the Middle Class Scholarship (MCS). You might already have an estimated MCS award on your account. The MCS can be impacted by your enrollment and other aid that you are getting, so we do not disburse it until after census each semester. Once we finalize your MCS eligibility with the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC), this hold will come off and your estimated MCS award will be an official award, ready to be disbursed!

💰 MCS awards are expected to disburse toward the end of October.

🚨No action is needed from you, and the hold on your MCS will not keep your other aid from disbursing next week and it does not affect class registration.🚨
