Frostburg State SGA

Frostburg State SGA The Official Page of the Student Government Association at Frostburg State University. Keep updated on the latest meeting dates, speakers, and special events!

All students are represented by the two branches of the Student Government Association: the Executive Council and the Senate. The SGA develops and administers student self-government policies, provides many services to students, communicates with faculty and administration and decides how the student activity fees will be spent. Students from all undergraduate classes are encouraged to run for office in SGA and participate in shaping the future of the University.

Hello SGA'ers of past and present (:

For several years, SGA has not been a part of the FSU Relay for Life event, as many of our members need to be on other teams for their other organizations. This year, I am very happy to say that not only will we have a team, but the SGA team is currently in first place for fundraising! Relay for Life will be held on April 25 this year in the Upper Quad.

We have copied the link below in case you or someone you know would like to help us reach our goal!

Hope everyone is having a great February!

Happy New Year from SGA to you! The past fall semester was very productive for our SGA Administration. We worked on community outreach initiatives such as Frostburg First; we collaborated with more departments on campus, such as campus police with the Safety Forum; and we also had many senators take action for their constituents. For instance, the parking situation became a heavily discussed topic that SGA pursued. We met with the university president and will create a Ad-how committee to determine and recommend changes to current parking policies. The past semester was productive and we hope to continue working hard for our constituents with the new year!
