There was plenty of science fun at the STEM Like a Girl event last weekend. FSU Biology faculty Gage Jacobs shared some beautiful birds and amazing bird facts, and Rebekah Taylor shared the TickTalk project, featuring a look at the ticks in our area and the pathogens they carry. Yay science!

Please send (dead) ticks to: 101 Braddock Road, Frostburg, MD 21532, along with the date found and approximate location. My students will ID the tick, test it for Lyme and anaplasma, and map it in our public database. https://fsutick.fieldscope.org/
