Face coverings help reduce the spread of the virus. They do not prevent you from getting infected, but it may aid in preventing an infected person from releasing virus particles around them when they breathe or speak. And because someone may be infected and not know or show symptoms, we should all follow the CDC's recommendation and wear a face covering when you leave your house. It takes everyone to get through this.
