We’re excited to officially introduce Subsurface Utility Engineering, or SUE, as the newest addition to JBPro’s services! What’s underground can have a major impact on what happens above it. Our SUE team helps identify and map existing utilities before they create conflicts during design or costly surprises during construction.

Backpacks packed and ready for a new school year! 🎒📚

To help local students start the year strong, our team partnered with Children’s Home Society of Florida Greater Gainesville for a back-to-school supply drive benefiting Howard Bishop Middle School.

Thanks to the JBPro's team and collected more than 500 school supplies and filled 8 backpacks for students in our community! We’re grateful for every chance we get to give back and support students across Alachua County Public Schools.

Special thanks to our Human Resources Director Shelbi Malphurs, our Administrative Assistant Camryn Figueroa, and Cassera Hutchinson, Community Partnership School Director for their huge efforts in spearheading our supply drive.

Last week, the team got together for another fierce round of the JBPro Olympics: Pentathlon Edition! This time, the team competed in a series of five events from potato sack racing to tower building to an intense game of capture the flag! Although we went home with a couple pulled hamstrings and a few sunburns, we're grateful to have the chance to bond with our coworkers and engage in a little friendly competition. 🏆

We’re proud to be part of the team helping bring Santa Fe College’s new Automotive Technology Training Center to life at the Blount Center in downtown Gainesville.

Last week, the JBPro team attended the groundbreaking ceremony for this new 17,200-square-foot facility, which will support hands-on training for future automotive technology students and help prepare them for careers in a changing vehicle industry. JBPro is providing civil engineering services for the project, working alongside Spiezle Architectural Group and Scorpio Construction.

We’re excited to see this project move forward and support another investment in workforce education here in Gainesville.

This past month, JBPro presented to the City of Palm Coast City Council on the findings of our Housing Needs Assessment (HNA), a document that assesses the existing residential conditions citywide and devises strategies to meet projected needs for all populations, especially those considered most vulnerable.

This HNA report serves as a way to understand barriers to development, identify potential development locations, and align with the community vision to ensure the City is able to improve housing availability, support economic stability, and maintain quality of life. To properly understand Palm Coast's current situation, our planning team analyzed a variety of resources such as housing inventory, vacant lot characteristics, demographic data, and development patterns.

JBPro is proud to support projects that help cities make informed decisions and implement actionable strategies to tackle housing affordability concerns in a time of rising costs and limited housing options.

City Hall Plaza in Gainesville gets a fresh new look! 🌳

This past Friday, the City of Gainesville celebrated the official opening of the newly redesigned and renovated City Hall Plaza.

With the goal of creating an inclusive and accessible civic community space for the City of Gainesville, JBPro helped to design various site, landscaping, and stormwater improvements to City Hall Plaza. The revitalized space now includes more seating, lighting upgrades, ADA improvements, and new stunning landscaping throughout the space. Our team also helped to design new seating and ADA accessible entrances to the existing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Hall of Fame Garden and the Sister Cities Monument Garden.

We're happy to have partnered with Scherer Construction and see the space truly come to life.

Construction is progressing along at Turkey Creek Preserve!

Recently, the construction crew began setting the composite piles that will support a new wildlife observation platform. Additionally, heavy-duty mats are being used to protect the sensitive wetland ground from excessive compaction and rutting.

We’re excited to see this project take shape and help improve access to one of our area’s beautiful natural spaces.

And of course, we met a few friends along the way 😉
