Founded in 1956, the UF College of Nursing is one of six colleges in the UF Health Science Center (HSC), which is one of the most comprehensive academic health care centers in the Southeast. The UF College of Nursing collaborates with the other health colleges – Dentistry, Health Professions, Medicine, Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine – as well as with the UF Health System and more than 40 other programs, institutes and centers of excellence located within the University and the UF Health Science Center. A visit to Archer Family Health Care came with a flu shot for UF President Stuart Bell! 💉🐊

Bell recently visited the UF College of Nursing’s nurse-led primary care practice in Archer, where he saw firsthand how the clinic brings together patient care, nursing education and service to a rural community.

Since 2001, the UF College of Nursing led Archer Family Health Care has provided primary care and behavioral health services to children, adults and families while serving as a clinical learning site for students.

It’s rural health in action, caring for patients today while preparing the next generation of nurses. 💙🧡

Up close. Behind the scenes. Ready to learn. 🚁🚑 Our students got an inside look at ShandsCair, the emergency air transport team at UF Health, exploring critical care helicopters, ground ambulances and medical transport vans. They also learned from the team behind the lifesaving care that keeps patients moving when every second matters.

Big thanks to ShandsCair for welcoming our and showing them critical care in action! 💙

A little pawsitivity goes a long way! 🐾 spent some time much needed time with the Hearts of Gold therapy dogs brought to the UF College of Nursing HPNP Courtyard. From wagging tails to plenty of cuddles, these four-legged friends gave students a chance to relax, recharge and connect.

Because taking care of others starts with taking care of yourself. 💙

A tailgate to remember! 🐊 This year’s College of Nursing Alumni Tailgate brought record turnout and plenty of Gator spirit to Alumni Reunion Weekend! 💙🧡

For the first time, alumni and their families gathered in the Reitz Union Game Room for bowling, pool, video games, line dancing and plenty of opportunities to reconnect. With 264 attendees, it was our biggest tailgate yet! 🎉

The celebration was especially meaningful during a milestone year for the College of Nursing, including our 70th anniversary, 10 years of the Accelerated BSN program in Jacksonville and 25 years of patient care at the Archer Family Health Care clinic.

But most of all, the weekend celebrated the people who make our community special. Because nursing is more than a profession, it’s a community.

What a fun day of spirit, laughter, and reconnecting!

We had an amazing time leading up to the Ole Miss game at the Annual College of Nursing Alumni Tailgate. It was wonderful to gather with fellow nursing alumni, friends and the Gator family at the Reitz Union Game Room at the University of Florida for an afternoon filled with great conversations, delicious food, and plenty of game-day excitement.

There’s something special about coming together with the College of Nursing family and celebrating the friendships and memories that make being a Gator so meaningful. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so much fun. Go Gators!

The University of Florida College of Nursing just made history. Our undergraduate nursing program has climbed to No. 12 in the nation among 671 programs in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, placing UF Nursing among the top 2% of nursing programs in the country.

One thing BSN students learn along their journey is the importance of hands-on experience. In the Kirbo Lab, they’re learning about wound and ostomy management, practicing new skills and gaining confidence in caring for their future patients.
