This past Sunday, the UF College Democrats had the absolute honor of hosting Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Angie Nixon at our very own University Auditorium.

This is the same auditorium that Representative Nixon attended when she was pursuing her degree here at the University of Florida.

It is not every day that people get to work directly with the leaders who inspire their daily dedication. The trust and commitment that Representative Nixon and Senator Sanders have extended to us as student organizers is extraordinary.

As further proof of their devotion to youth voices, our very own UF College Democrats leaders, President Harper Miller and Vice President Ana Perez, were given the opportunity to address the crowd directly.

Angie Nixon is a true leader because she listens to people on the ground. As we approach the most important midterm election in modern American history, her leadership is needed now more than ever.

We cannot wait to call Angie our next U.S. Senator! 🩷🐊
