Saturdays are always better in orange and blue! 🐊

Last weekend, some of our UF Online students and their guests joined us for a tailgate before kickoff. Getting to catch up with the people who make up our UF Online community made the day that much better, and a Gator win later on certainly didn’t hurt either! 🧡💙

Hard to beat a day with Gator Nation.

This is what studying abroad can look like as a UF Online PaCE student! 🇦🇹🐊

While studying in Salzburg, PaCE student and linguistics major Bodi Jernigan got the chance to experience his coursework in a completely different setting.

Between lectures and studying with other UF students, he explored castles and palaces, traveled on weekend trips and visited the United Nations in Vienna! But one of his favorite parts of the experience was getting to put a year of German classes into practice while actually living in Austria.

From online coursework to studying abroad in Salzburg, Bodi’s experience is a great example of just how many different directions a PaCE student’s time at UF can take.

From plans to open a music venue to helping create guest experiences at NASA, Lacy’s career has taken her somewhere she never quite expected. 🚀

Meet Lacy Fowler, a guest experience lead with NASA’s Office of Communications. Here, Lacy plans events at Kennedy Space Center, where she puts her degree in Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management to use every day.

She has helped bring more than 30 events to life at Kennedy Space Center, including coordinating logistics for an estimated 8,000 guests attending the Artemis II launch and supporting Kennedy’s Family Day, which welcomed nearly 20,000 family members of employees.

For Lacy, one part of the job still hasn’t become routine. Even from about three miles away from the launchpad, watching a rocket lift off never gets old.

See how she found her way into a career organizing events and welcoming employees, families and guests at one of the country’s most recognizable spaceports, all while balancing her degree through UF Online, at the link below.

The final stretch of the year can feel like a lot, especially when you are balancing work and school.😵‍💫

Your job still needs your attention, but those assignments also keep coming. And somehow, you are still expected to find the time to rest.

Preventing burnout is crucial for you. And the good thing is you don't have to completely rebuild your current routine to do so! Adding a few simple boundaries can help protect your energy and mindset and avoid burnout before the year is over. Here are four small changes you can put into practice this week:

🥪 Take your lunch break away from your desk. Stepping away, even briefly, can make the day feel less like one long stretch of work.

🌙 Choose a nightly cutoff for work and school. Having a clear stopping point can help keep work and school from following you into the rest of your evening.

⛓️‍💥 Keep work, school and rest separate when possible. Creating small boundaries between each one can make it easier to focus when it is time to work and relax when it is not.

😴 Protect one part of the week from work and school. A regular break gives you time to reset before another busy week begins.

Are any of these part of your routine now? What would you add to the list?

You know you want to work with people, but the bigger question is how. 👀

Are you interested in the marketing and business behind sports and athletics? Or maybe you’re more interested in what shapes people’s health and how communities can create healthier outcomes.

Those interests may sound pretty different, but UF Online offers both Sport Management and Health Education & Behavior degrees, giving students the opportunity to explore two distinct sides of working with people, performance and well-being.

So which direction sounds more like you?

🔗 If you’re still figuring that out, we’ll be talking about both programs during our virtual information session on September 23. Register for the conversation at the link below.

Happy National Online Learning Day! 💻

Today, we’re celebrating the flexibility and opportunities online learning can create for students balancing school with everything else life brings.

In honor of the day, everyone respond to this post like it’s a discussion board. 💬

In case no one told you, you’re allowed to outgrow the career you once chose.

Wanting something different doesn’t mean you wasted your time or missed your chance. Sometimes, recognizing that you’re ready for a change is proof of growth.

Just ask UF alum Samson Carter. After years in the culinary industry, Samson decided to follow his interests in mathematics, problem-solving and technology through our computer science program.

If you keep thinking about the dreams you pushed aside or wondering whether it’s too late to choose a new path, Samson’s story might be the one you need right now.

🔗 His story is waiting at the link below.
