Thank you to everyone and every department that donated to the AFC Hunger Action Challenge! Over 2,000 individual items were collected in total, benefiting the Saints Care Center. To keep the judging fair, the total points for each department were divided by their number of employees to calculate points per capita.

And the winners were:
1st Place - Liberal Arts and Sciences Administration, PC = 257.38 points
2nd Place - Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, PC = 241.75 points
Third Place - SF Achieve, PC = 30 points

Point System:
1 point = perishable food/toiletries
2 points = nonperishable food
3 points = microwavable/ready-to-eat meals and snacks

AFC kicks off its new Level Up series with a conversation featuring 𝗗𝗿. 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, Provost at Santa Fe College. The series pulls back the curtain on college leadership, giving members a closer look at the people guiding Florida’s colleges and the journeys that brought them there.

Dr. Southerland will be joined by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at Santa Fe College, for a moderated conversation covering Dr. Southerland’s path into higher education leadership, what a typical day looks like for him, and what he wants members across the system to know about him. The discussion will run for 20 minutes, followed by live audience questions.

AFC does many thing and one of the most important is community service. The service project we have chosen for the AFC Region 2 Conference we are hosting on 4/11/25 is GRACE Marketplace. We are seeking donations from their wish list. The drop of location is the S Building Lobby and Jacob Clore is the contact over there. Please consider dropping off some donations to help us help those in the community who have no housing. Conference attendees can bring donations the day of the Conference.
