What if the whole point of your next trip was to come home feeling better?

More travelers are seeking trips built around rest, recovery and wellbeing, and that is changing what they expect from hotels, resorts and destinations.

As people become more intentional about their mental and physical wellbeing in everyday life, those expectations are following them when they travel. For the hospitality industry, that means continuing to rethink what a great guest experience looks like.

These are the kinds of changes students in our Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management program are preparing to navigate. Wellness may be the trend, but understanding what guests value and building experiences around those expectations is at the heart of the field.

If this interests you, check out UF THEM to learn more about what studying this field can look like.

New research examines the connection between intimate partner violence-related head trauma and mental health among military spouses. Led by UF doctoral student and domestic violence survivor Sam Goldstein, preliminary study results found that participants with IPV-related head trauma reported higher levels of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜, Goldstein will share her findings with the Florida National Guard, helping bring awareness to an often-overlooked public health issue.
