Oh you thought we were done? Right… right… NOPE!! Last week the ELI had a crazy lit time at coffee talk at Panera and volleyball. We finished off the week exploring Gainesville’s thrift stores, record shops, and arcades! Thanks for coming out with us guys!! ✨See you next week for our final (😭) activity recap of Summer 2026!

Please join us in congratulating Tate and thanking her for her commitment to the ELI and creating peace in the world. Tomorrow, Thursday, July 16th, is her last day at ELI Cultural Immersion Program.

Tate has accepted a position at the UF International Center - UFIC. She will be the UF International Scholars Program (ISP) Advisor. In this role she will help connect UF undergraduate students with international experiences and international students – including ELI students! Instead of supporting and mentoring only our own ELI Language Assistants, Tate will be able to help hundreds of UF undergraduates learn about others in the world.

Even though Tate will no longer be the CIP Coordinator at the ELI, she will always support the ELI, our students, and our LAs. Most of all, she will always support our vision of creating a world of trust, peace, and international understanding through developing communication and friendships between people of different cultures and languages. Come say goodbye to her at the End of Semester Barbecue on August 1st, or at our ELI Commencement Ceremony on August 6th.

Omg hey didn’t see you there… while we have your attention let’s do an ‼️ACTIVITY RECAP‼️ Last week our LA Elijah once again introduced students to a classic game of rummikub at coffee talk! We also killed it on the court at volleyball AND slayed it at Skate Station last Wednesday 🛼 To top it all off, on Saturday we volunteered with Green Bridges, a local gardening organization made by one of ELI’s own alumni! Thanks for showing out everyone! 🍍
