Joanna Cartee is the Georgia State Fuel and Oil Laboratory Director, and Georgia State Oil Chemist. The Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at University of Florida helped her get there. “That’s one thing that’s pretty cool about my position, is that the state of Georgia happens to need someone just like me. Having that advanced degree helped me get my foot in the door, because there were a lot of candidates for the position. And having the years of lab experience, I hit all of those preferred requirements… UF played a big role in me being able to achieve my dream career.”
