With the creation of the Post 9/11 GI-Bill, veterans all over America have begun to fulfill their dreams of attaining a college degree. The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey has taken that dream seriously by becoming one of the most veteran friendly schools in the state, and the Student Veteran Organization (SVO) has been instrumental in this endeavor. However, it's not always easy to transit

ion from military to civilian life, and sometimes the hardships faced by veterans can only be understood and helped by fellow veterans. As a result, the SVO has made it its mission to help fellow veterans with everything from red-tape, paperwork and scholarships to creating a community of fellow veterans that is open, friendly and trustworthy. From a Student Veteran Lounge to trips and charity events, the SVO has become a major face of Stockton College's veteran outreach, and continues to take pride in its continued accomplishments. If you're a student veteran at Stockton College, or even if veterans' issues is important to you, please don't hesitate to contact the SVO or The Stockton Department of Veteran Affairs.

The members have voted and our new name has been decided…

The 2023-2024 e-Board members are thrilled to announce that the Student Veteran Organization (SVO) has officially been renamed as Military Affiliated Students of Stockton (MASS)!✨ This change was made to better reflect the diverse and inclusive nature of our organization, as we aim to focus not only on student veterans, but also those who are active duty members, national guards, reservists, dependents and/or anyone who wants to support our club. 🎖️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 MASS is still a chapter of Student Veterans of America (SVA).

We believe it is crucial to embrace and support all individuals who have served in any capacity, and our new name signifies our commitment to fostering a sense of belonging, camaraderie, and unity among military affiliated students at Stockton University. 🤝❤️ It's important to note that MASS stands firmly against expressions of superiority. We strive to create an environment that is welcoming, respectful, and free of any discrimination. 🚫💔 Whether you have served for one year or more, from active duty service members to military spouses and caregivers, we value your unique experiences and perspectives, and we're excited to have you join our vibrant community!
