We are thrilled to announce the success of Thiago Negrao, a recent graduate of Adelphi University, who has secured a position as a Sales Associate at Ninety One!

Thiago shared his experience: "Adelphi has provided me with many different opportunities which led me to get the job I always wanted...Participating in the mentorship program was key for me to get to know more people, and that led me to meet one of the people in Ninety One, which was interested in me, and offered me an internship opportunity."

Thiago's journey is a testament to the power of networking, mentorship, and taking full advantage of the opportunities provided by Adelphi's business school, such as job shadowing and our annual Business Plan Competition. We encourage all our students to stay engaged, build their networks, and work hard in every opportunity.

The mentoring program at the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business matches professionals with a student interested in their field of expertise for strategic career planning conversations over the course of a semester. The career services team at the School of Business makes intentional introductions in this program to allow for thoughtful conversations and outcomes.

Congratulations, Thiago! We are proud of your accomplishments and excited for your future.

Have you ever wondered what the day-to-day life is like for employees at leading companies? Our job shadowing program offers you the chance to connect with top organizations such as Flynn Zito (featured), Amazon, IBM, and J.P. Morgan to learn about their daily operations and procedures. This personalized experience, available both in-person and virtually, could even lead to an internship.

Through our program, you'll get to:

Connect with a company and industry of interest
Tour facilities
Attend meetings and conference calls
Meet colleagues and team members
Network and explore potential internship opportunities
Here's how it works: Partner companies outline criteria for job shadow opportunities, and we match and interview Willumstad School of Business students who meet these criteria. We ensure a supportive experience by meeting with candidates both before and after their shadowing.

A heartfelt thank you to our past and current partners who make this program a success: Geico, Mt. Sinai, Andersen Tax, and many more.

She stayed in school, and she got her degree.’ I want to be an inspiration and an example for him in the future.”- Janary Mojica Martinez '23

Becoming a mother while enrolled in the undergraduate accounting program at the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business did not slow this Adelphi student down.
