TODAY: Last Chance for Open Auditions! 🎭

Ready to take the stage or be part of the crew? GCCC is casting actors and seeking backstage crew for its upcoming production of 12 Angry Jurors, directed by William Schlichter.

🎭 Open Auditions
📅 Wed, Sept. 9th
⏲️ 4:00–7:00 PM
📍 KCB Bank Auditorium, Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Building

Auditions are open to GCCC students and community members ages 14+. Participants will do cold readings from the script.

Not interested in acting? Opportunities are also available in costuming, set construction, stage management and choreography.

12 Angry Men, Reginald Rose’s Emmy Award-winning television movie, serves as the inspiration for 12 Angry Jurors, a stage adaptation of the classic courtroom drama. The play follows twelve jurors as they deliberate a life-or-death murder case, confronting their assumptions, biases, and beliefs as they work toward a unanimous verdict.

🎟️ Performances: Nov. 6–7 at 7 p.m. & Nov. 8 at 2 p.m.

We are excited to collaborate with the Southwest Kansas Chorale and Community Orchestra to perform John Rutter’s ‘Gloria’, part of the Firebird Suite, and a flute concerto Featuring Ammi Lopez. You won’t want to miss this performance.

The GCCC Department of Music invites the community to a special performance celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Southwest Kansas Community Concert on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and will be held at First United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas.

The milestone event will feature the Southwest Kansas Chorale, Southwest Kansas Community Orchestra, and the GCCC Concert Choir, bringing together musicians from across the region in a collaborative celebration of music in Southwest Kansas.

This year’s program highlights include John Rutter’s ‘Gloria’ performed by the choir and the ‘Finale from Firebird’ by Igor Stravinsky performed by the orchestra. The concert will also feature a flute concerto performed by Ammi Lopez, a local Garden City educator.
