DID YOU KNOW? 🤔⚕

A CNA can often spot a serious health problem before any monitor does.

Why? Because CNAs spend more one-on-one time with patients than almost anyone else on the care team. A subtle change—such as a patient becoming unusually quiet, eating less, walking slower, or seeming "not quite themselves"—can be an early sign of infection, dehydration, stroke, or other medical issues long before vital signs show a clear problem.

Many nurses and doctors will tell you that a CNA's observation and timely report has helped prevent emergencies and even saved lives.

Is hantavirus the next global threat?

A hantavirus outbreak linked to the Dutch cruise ship MV Hondius is raising global concern. It started with the death of a 70-year-old Dutch passenger, now identified as the outbreak’s “index case.” Several other passengers have since become infected, with some in critical condition, while international contact tracing efforts are underway to track those who left the ship early. Public fears about whether hantavirus could become a larger global threat are growing.
