🚨Amazing Geneseo Alumni alert: Louis Lohraseb ’13 graduated from Geneseo as a music major and made his conducting debut six years later at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.

Lohraseb says Geneseo gave him freedom to dive into all his musical passions and realize his dream. Since his debut in Italy, Lohraseb has led symphonies and operas throughout Europe and the United States 😮 Read more ⤵

Geneseo’s Opening Convocation for faculty and staff on August 21 celebrated ten awardees.

Eight honorees received Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence, SUNY-level honors conferred to provide system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement.

Two professors earned SUNY - The State University of New York distinguished ranks: professor of English and creative writing Robert Doggett received the rank of Distinguished Service Professor, and Aaron Steinhauer, professor of physics and astronomy, the rank of Distinguished Teaching Professor.

🤯 SUNY Geneseo has welcomed our largest incoming class, nearly 1,400 first-year, transfer and graduate students, in seven years!

More than 18,200 students applied for first-year admission to Geneseo this year, the largest applicant pool in the college’s history. As demand has grown, Geneseo has become SUNY’s most selective comprehensive colleges and among the most selective campuses in the entire SUNY system.
