This past week, Geneseo welcomed teachers from accross the region for a day of Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) professional development led by Dr. James Oigara. Participants were first welcomed by Dean Ann, and then were able to participate in multiple different workshops.

These included Library of Congress familarization (Susan Allen), Teaching about Migration and Immigaration in NYS (Dr. Kathleen Mapes), Teaching About Slavery in NYS (Dr. Catherine Adams), Erie Canal and Underground Railroad (Coordinated Care Services, Inc.), Using Local Museams as a Resource (Anna Kowalchuk), Game-Based Learning (Geneseo's Dr. Taylor Kessner), and Virtual Reality (Dr. Oigara)!
