Students from the FLCC Paramedic Program recently visited Mercy Flight Central as part of their Air Medical Utilization unit. During the visit, students toured the facility, engaged with flight crew members, and received valuable instruction from experienced professionals in the field. We were also pleased to welcome members of the Oaks Corners Fire Department, who joined us for this informative and engaging learning opportunity.

Through the Geneva High School College & Career Center, 40 students explored careers in hospitality during a Career Chat featuring Morgan Murray, Food & Beverage Manager at Belhurst Castle, and Paula Knight, Professor & Coordinator of Hospitality Programs at Finger Lakes Community College.

Students gained firsthand insight into what it’s really like to work in restaurants, hotels, and events, while learning how women are leading and shaping the hospitality industry. They asked thoughtful questions, explored college and career pathways, and discovered opportunities for future growth, with some even leaving with a potential summer job lead.

Thanks to ONYA Ontario/Yates Fund for Women and Girls funding, select Career Chats are intentionally designed to highlight female leadership, create welcoming spaces where young women can build confidence, and expand access to college and career exploration. By hosting these conversations during the school day, the College & Career Center continues to ensure opportunity and access for all students.

We are excited to again offer STEAM Summer Camp 2026 at the FLCC Geneva Campus Center, 63 Pulteney Street! STEAM Detectives - Step into the world of clues, codes, and cool science at STEAM Detectives Summer Camp! Full-day camp is held daily (8:30 am - 3:00 pm) for students going into grades 6-9; July 27-July 31; Sign up Online at flcc.edu/STEAM; Email [email protected] with questions. Cost $250 per camper; Registration deadline June 5; Cost includes camp supplies, snacks, and a souvenir. Campers bring their own lunch. Limited number of need-based scholarships available.
