✨Student Spotlight: Abygaelle Laguerre✨
Abygaelle Laguerre came to our Amherst campus with a mission and left as a 2026 graduate of the Medical Assisting program, a four-time Dean's List honoree, and a proud member of the National Honor Society.

However, her road wasn't without uncertainty. Even with her drive, Abygaelle carried a real fear that finances would force her to cut her education short or leave her buried in debt. That's where the Finger Lakes Performing Provider System - FLPPS made all the difference. The grant removed that financial weight from her shoulders and gave her the freedom to show up fully in every class, every assignment, and gave her every opportunity to grow.

The Career Pathways Grant administered through FLPPS helps students like Abygaelle by removing the barriers standing between them and their goals. With that support behind her, Abygaelle is now looking ahead to a career in healthcare, with plans to gain hands-on hospital experience while exploring her next step. She’s considering options like a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a path toward becoming a Cardiac Sonographer. 🎓

✨ Student Spotlight: Yonna Kitchen ✨
Yonna Kitchen walked into our Buffalo campus with determination and walked out a 2026 graduate of the Medical Assisting program, a Dean's List honoree every single semester, and a member of the National Honor Society. 🎓

Her journey was made possible in part by the support of the FLPPS grant that provided the financial stability, resources, and encouragement she needed to stay focused and keep moving forward, even when life got hard. In October 2025, Yonna lost her father. Instead of stepping away, she pushed forward and honored his memory with every step toward the finish line. She credits the Finger Lakes Performing Provider System - FLPPS with easing the pressure that could have forced her to withdraw during one of the most painful moments of her life. 💙

The Career Pathways Grant administered through FLPPS supports students like Yonna by providing the stability they need to turn their goals into reality. Yonna, your strength, your resilience, and your degree say it all. We are so proud of you, congratulations! 👏

This Nurses Week, we're honoring four incredible Bryant & Stratton College nursing alumni who turned compassion, resilience, and hard work into a calling that changes lives every single day.

Meet Imani Johnson, Michelle Hodge-Forte, Mina Worrall, and Nina Yates, four women who prove that nursing is more than a profession. It's a purpose.

From raising four kids while earning two degrees, to advocating for patients whose voices weren't being heard, to finding the courage to speak up and never give up, their stories remind us what the power of nursing truly looks like. 🩺❤️
